I got 3 job offers last week and all three offers are 50-70% increases in compensation!!!

I thought of you and the being in the driver's seat metaphor when I was sitting there soaking it all in. I’ve worked so hard to be in this position and there’s no need for imposter syndrome. I am a badass in the driver's seat!

First generation everything, woman, working mom…so many barriers, and yet I persevere! I was selling myself too short because I subconsciously thought all of those things meant I wasn’t meant for bigger things. But consciously I know I am limitless and that is very powerful! Thank you for being that voice in my head. Your coaching came at the perfect time. You may not have even known it, but thank you!

At the start of my coaching journey, I was hoping to explore where I fit in in the medical field. I was concerned about how to present myself in interviews. I did not know how to find the spot of professionalism, being authentic, and relating to others emotionally. In my personal life, I was still grappling with the hard rejection to medical school the year prior. It took a very personal toll on my confidence and self-worth.

Through coaching, we explored a variety of topics. During my medical school application journey, I was led by phrases like “confident humility” to guide my storytelling during interviews. In my current career, I received feedback and detailed edits on my resume and LinkedIn. Both of these tasks helped me showcase my best self while holding onto my own story (not promoting fake self). I learned how to be a manager who advocates for my employees while also giving myself the space to disconnect and recharge.

Dr. Lori Feldman was incredible! She allowed me to guide our journey, giving me the freedom to explore aspects of my life I'm not always comfortable discussing. I felt truly heard and seen.

After being rejected in my first round of applications to medical schools, after working with Lori, I was accepted by five medical schools and now have a choice of where to pursue my education.

My coaching journey with Dr. Feldman truly changed my life. I was in a job that was very difficult with a company that was constantly changing the compensation structure. I thought if I would just get better, I could succeed like I had in years past.

Working with Dr. Feldman I was able to discover that I wasn't the problem. I was still the person who had previously led the company in a multitude of levels over several years. I still had the same strengths, determination, and grit that resulted in my previous success. I still had a lot to offer, but perhaps not to the company I had been with for several years.

Together we revamped my resume and LinkedIn profile. It was extremely hard work to think of myself positively after several years of being subject to so much negativity, but with her gentle prompts and reminders of who I am, I was able to find my own words to describe my strengths.

The result of our working together led to me finally having choices in my career. I was offered the position I was begging for when we first started working together and I TURNED IT DOWN! I realized I was worth more than what was being offered and deserved better.

Now I work for myself and have already realized this year's business goals just 3 months into the new year!

I can say without a doubt that I could not have achieved this without the help of Papillon Leadership Coaching.

I was looking for new jobs to increase my career progression to a more senior role within the tech industry. I had recently applied for a role at one of the largest tech companies in the United States and was getting geared up for the interview process. This would be my third attempt at joining their program and I was feeling doubtful going into the process.  I knew I had the experience they were looking for but being able to package my experience and relay it in the format they were looking for was my blocker.

The menu options given helped me identify what areas I needed coaching on were beneficial to me by helping me reflect on individual aspects of my professional development.

Lori was quick to pivot into helping me package my interview responses in a concise format that displayed my past accomplishments. We practiced the presentation of my interview responses to ensure I was able to deliver them in a professional manner. There were a few tips and tricks that she provided for giving a better presence even through a webcam.

What I learned through the coaching experience is there is always something you can improve on, and you typically will not realize how much it can be improved until you reflect on it with an experienced unbiased person.

Lori has been a tremendous help and coach to me at several different points in my professional development.

I remember a specific time when I sent an email (she was copied on it) and I apologized for something I didn’t really feel sorry for. I didn’t do anything wrong in that instance and let my fear of confrontation control my response. This was a pattern of mine that I needed to break. I never had someone address this with me before, but Lori took the time to talk with me about it.

She explained how that language can come across and how that can harm your progression, even when it’s coming from a good place. It really impacted me when she said that because it really was something I needed to hear. It was also clear to me by the way she addressed it, that she cared about me and cared about my success/ development. She was very calm and kind in her delivery which made it that much easier to take in. I admire Lori for her own professional successes, and she is someone I look up to.

I trust her guidance and advice. I am fully confident she always has your best interest at heart and will always do her absolute best to help whenever and wherever needed.
